Betsy Collins
Margaret"Betsy"Collins, CPCU,ARM,CPIW,CBIA founded
Collins Insurance in 1973. Through the years she has
served the insurance industry as a founding member of the Council of Group Self
Insurance Workers Compensation Association Administrators, President of the CPCU
Society of Virginia, founder and administrator for the Virginia Auto Dealers
Self Insured Workers Compensation Association. In addition she served as
consultant to the Virginia Bureau of Insurance in the development of
requirements for Continuing Education and Licensing for new agents. During the
Baliles Administration, she was on the panel that revised the insurance code in
Virginia.
Ken Collins
Ken Collins is the partner in the firm who supervises
marketing, automation and operations. He supervises the ocean and inland marine
business, some of the workers compensation and manages all the agencies IT
services with companies and vendors. Ken came to the firm after spending 10
years heading his own public relation consulting firm and 20 years in
broadcasting . He has served on the Professional Insurance
Agents' Association Technology Committee, taught information technology
courses and is past president of the Southport Association. He a former member of Midlothian Rotary Club.
